Affordable Housing for Seniors

In compliance with San Diego's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance, 3Roots provides 10% (or 180) apartments designated for low-income seniors.

The affordable apartments at 3Roots are age-restricted to seniors age 62 and over. All members of the household must be at least 62-years old at the time they are being qualified, which would be up to 120 days before occupancy. Certified care givers are exempted from the age restriction.

The wait list is not yet available. It is estimated to become available spring 2021. Interested parties can call 619-329-4190 for updates.

In further commitment to this under-served population, we've met with and supported the Mira Mesa Senior Center. Click here to read Center Executive Director, Mitz Lee's endorsement letter.

3Roots is the new community planned for the former Hanson quarry. 3Roots is planned to include nearly 40 acres of parks, 8 miles of trails, a range of 1,800 new homes close to regional job centers, new restaurants, shops and gathering spaces - all amidst hundreds acres of preserved open space.
